Designing Beautiful Spaces and
Forming Lasting Relationships
For Gerard Lehner, great design is about more than
aesthetics, it’s about creating spaces that elevate how
people live, work, and connect. As Principal of Lehner
Designs, a full-service interior design firm based in
Johnson County, he’s spent over two decades doing just
that.
“We’ve been in business for 22 years, and what keeps us
going is the joy of being creative and the opportunity to
keep learning,” said Lehner. “Whether it’s a commercial
office, a restaurant, a school, or someone’s home,
we want the experience to be smooth, inspiring, and
enjoyable from start to finish.”
Lehner Designs has left its mark on countless local
landmarks, offering design services across a wide range
of sectors, including retail, corporate, educational,
and residential. Their online portfolio features several
recognizable projects throughout the region, showcasing
both the firm’s versatility and attention to detail.
But beyond the buildings themselves, Lehner emphasizes
that relationships are at the heart of the business.
“We’ve always worked to build strong ties with our clients
by really listening and making the process collaborative,”
he explained. “That’s how you become a trusted part of
the local community.”

ASPIRE JOHNSON COUNTY, IN | 2025-26 BUSINESS GUIDE
The company’s deep ties in Johnson County are reflected
not just in its client base, but in its ongoing community
support.
“We’re proud to support local churches and the
Autism Community Connection,” Lehner shared.
“Giving back is just part of how we operate.”
Lehner also credits local chambers and business
organizations as key to the firm’s success.
“Through networking, educational events, and referrals,
they’ve helped us stay connected and continue to grow,”
Lehner said.
Looking ahead, Lehner Designs plans to keep evolving
while holding onto the values that got them where they
are.
“We’re always refining our process, always looking for
ways to make each project better than the last,” said
Lehner. “And we never lose sight of the fact that behind
every project is a person or a team trusting us with
something meaningful.”
